review 1: A graphic novel that illustrates the beginnng of Mac and Barron's relationship. It was odd reading the words that sound so thrilling with illustrations and captions as I have never read a graphic novel(la). comparing it to my Archie and Veronica days seems like an insult to the author and artists but that was the only schema I had for this type of literature. I wouldn't have bothered but I am hooked on Darkfever.
review 2: Even though I enjoyed the story, I couldn’t get over how everybody looked. Maybe I’m imagining Mac differently, but in my head, she doesn’t look that trashy, so that definitely threw me off. Jericho also isn’t how imagined him, but oh well. The whole Graphic Novel was hyper sexualized and a bit sexist. I give it three stars because... more the story is interesting and the illustrations were great, even if it’s not how I imagined it. less
