review 1: I know I read this book but it was so long ago. It was offered on KMM's website for free at the time. I read it before finishing the series, I am not sure what book I was on when I did. A while later, it was no longer free because she was having Phil Gigante narrate it for audiobook. I love that man and would have loved listening to this one since I listened to all the others, but wasn't paying for it since I had already read it. Since it was so long ago, I can't comment on the actual book. I do remember liking it alot. But I love Jericho Barrons. I loved being in his head. Since this was in the middle of book 2, I think the lack of details fit.
review 2: Hot damn!! Jericho Barrons is a master. I love him and I hate him. This was insight into his brain and also... more no insight at all. Like others, I was hoping for a Pri-hahaha scene so I could romanticize him for bringing back Mac and thinking he really loves her. Of course we couldn't get that!! He's Barrons. I like this scene but I wonder if KMM planned it at the time or inserted it conveniently after. Again, to romanticize JZB I will pretend she came up with it afterward because I can like it better that way Barrons is bad but I like to think he's not that bad... less
