review 1: Smith has once again created loveable, realistic characters tatvwork well together. She has written a heartwarmng story tat shows that lve can and will prevail, without being too sappy. Alex and Amanda are heard worjing, dedicated parents who are fooled by their matchmaking nine year old daughters. Thinking that their parents are perfect for one another, and that they would love to become sisters, the two push their parents together as often as possible. Unaware of the emotional struggles the two have endured the girls innocently scheme to make their parents realize that they belong with together. Will Amanda and Alex eventually be able to agree with the girls?
review 2: What an awesome little book! I had the pleasure of emailing Ms. Smith and talking a li
... morettle about her books, and was excited at the chance to review her books for her. I started with this one, and WOW! I am glad I did! She packs this little, light read full of emotion, humor and passion. I was instantly connected to the characters and story from page one and held on for the duration until the last page, in which I was sad to see it end.Amanda, Alex, Kristy and Heather were amazing characters! They all fit the roles perfectly and each one had flaws about them that made them as real as you and me. I really loved watching Kristy and Heather, sweet little 9 year olds, plotting to get their mom and dad together forever. The fact that Amanda and Alex had no clue it was their daughters helping things along made for an entertaining and enlightening read. A little match making from the sweeties was the perfect twist in this romantic love story.I highly recommend this book with flying 5 stars! It's not filled with the extremely detailed passion scenes that lots of books out there today are filled with. It keeps the reader interested with the humor and fun loving characters, and it's a fast read. All things that readers love in a book like this. If you have never read a Karen Rose Smith book before, please, grab a copy of this adorable book and become a fan for life like me! less
