review 1: This is the second book featuring the characters of Tradd Street. This time Melanie Middleton must confront all her feelings about her mother as her mother has moved back to Charleston and bought the family home on Legare Street. The evil that resides there is trying to hurt both Melanie and her mother. It takes a lot of historical searching to uncover the wrong done and the knowledge of how to defeat her(a ghost). It is a great story especially all the historical knowledge you learn while reading and trying to solve the mystery. Can't wait for the next one. It was an easy quick read.
review 2: I really wanted to like this--it takes place in Charleston and has a ghost-sensitive realtor as the protagonist. But she is infuriatingly headstrong to the point of ube
... morer stupidity--beyond the realms of feasibility. I can take a main character who eats like a trucker and never gains weight. I'll even enjoy the local color of Charleston. But the refusal to reconcile or even listen to her mother coupled with the bull-headed, self-effronting choice to date a man who snuck around and cheated you in the first book is just plain ridiculous. I can't stomach it. And I really wanted to love this series. less
