review 1: This was my first exposure to the Tradd Street series. Although it is the third in the series, it does stand alone and can be followed even with references made to previous novels. I can't say that I am anxious to read the prior two, or even the next in the series. I found Mellie rather annoying with OCD tendencies that were rather distracting. ... moreve been good, but this is the best. I just received the 4th, Return to Tradd Street & I know I shall be reading it very soon. I need to know what ultimately happens with Mellie & Jack. Sometimes men are so clueless . The Strangers on Montagu Street has all kinds of emotions, Mellie's ghosts, Jack's daughter, so-called friends who are truly selfish bums, warm parents/grandparents , a big birthday party, and lots of love ! Great fun with a bit of scariness thrown in !! Well done. less
