review 1: I like Karin Slaughter and was very excited when my book club chose this book to read. If I could rate this book 3 1/2 stars I would. I found the book to have a very slow start. I had a really hard time getting into it because there were so many characters introduced at once and going back from 1975 to the present was just a lot to follow. About half way through the book things began to click and the story became more enjoyable. I was not bowled over by this book but enjoyed it enough.
review 2: This is probably my favourite book in the Will Trent series. Brutal and gruesome (still can't get some images out of my head after 2 days)but finally we find out more about Amanda Wagner and Will's parents. Sometimes I get really annoyed if a book constantly goes back
... moreand forth (1970's - today)but it didn't annoy me this time, I was far to hooked into the story, especially how the police force was 40 years ago. less
