review 1: Wow, this is one amazing book! The Prelude is the first book in the series called A Musical Interlude. This book had me from the very beginning and kept my full attention all the way through. The author has an amazing talent for making me feel like I was right there with them. I cried, got upset, smiled …all kinds of emotions going on in this book. The characters in the book were so intriguing that I just could just barely wait to see what would happen next.I just finished this first book and I am going straight to the next one which is, The Crescendo. I am anxious to find out what happens with Alek and Erin and all the others.Alek and Erin were wonderful to follow. I was so happy when they finally realized that they loved each other. What a ride this book was th... moreough. It is so good and I highly recommend it. I’m going to end this review so I can start on the next book now.
review 2: *Received copy for honest review* Good girl with tragic past meets bad boy with more tragic and rough past, steamy sexy romance with a Russian twist, how could you go wrong!?! KaSonndra Leigh did a wonderful job with this story and the characters! I wish there had been a bit more getting to know Erin and Alek before they meet but overall the way they meet, the whirlwind romance and the way Alek sweeps Erin off her feet it done very nicely. I really liked the whole cast of characters, they were all young, extremely talented and had a comradery between them even when they were at odds with one another they felt like a hodgepodge self made family. Even though some of them were real family they were all a part of something that felt like more than friends. I wasn't a fan of Katerina's at first, she is mean and ruthless, but you see her vulnerable side in glimpses and you realize she is scared and hurting. I felt there was a small crush going from Nikolai to Adriana, but there is also Luca, so I'm sensing a love triangle (maybe another book) going on. I greatly enjoyed Erin, she is a very smart and EXTREMELY talented young woman, she is a fantastic clothing designer, an impressive dancer, and wonderful singer. But Erin has lived the last five years refusing to allow love to happen for her because of a tragic accident, because of this she is very closed off. Alek is sexy charming, extremely talented, ambitious, and refuses to take no as an answer. He has been WAY too much in his short Russian-American life and was a strict and closed off man. When Alek and Erin meet it's all bets off and things heat up and get interesting very quickly. Secrets get reviled, emotions go haywire and walls get torn down. These two together are dynamite, have tons of chemistry, passion, and sexual tension. This book is filled with not only romance, sexual tension, love and passion, intrigue, danger and humor but also talent. Lots and lots of talent, in all different forms of art, maestros, musicians, dancers, singers, artists, and designers were all present. There was also lots of traveling around Europe, places like La Scala, Capri, Florence, Lake Como, Milan, the Duomo, and the Galleria to name a few. This book was exciting, exotic, passion filled and crazy good! It's worth cracking open and taking a peek, you wont be sorry that you did. less
