review 1: Not a story.Just a series of un-funny comic strips with some note at the bottom by the author (which is also un-funny even though the author tries).There is no story and the sentences in some of the strips don't really make sense. Maybe I'm too old or not in the fold about this type of humor. I would not recommend this as a Graphic Novel (which is where I got the suggestion). I gave it two stars only because I am sure some people would find it clever is some way. As for me, I am moving on after getting to page 20.
review 2: This one was just "ok" for me. I like literary humor and a lot of it was amusing but not really funny. I opened the book at the library to glance at a couple pages and see if I'd like it and unfortunately the page I flipped to was the comic ... morethat I found funniest in the whole book, which means that comic set the expectation for the rest of the book and the rest did not meet the expectation. I definitely support the subject matter of the book, but it just wasn't quite there for me. less
