review 1: There's so much about this story other than the steamy cover, trust me.I never indulged myself in Historical Romance but this book is a wonderful masterpiece!The connection between Edgar, Emily & Angus was purely romantic and heart-wrenching.The sacrifice made by Edgar is beautifully written because he knew that his disease can be past on his descendants if he tried to make a child with Emily.With his heavy heart, he knew that he need to do something to make a great legacy for his family name and not to passed on his wealth & fortune to his greedy, deceitful prick; nephew.In this book, we got to see that people will do anything for wealth & name.With Angus entering the picture, all of it changed. Positively changed.Edgar is a wonderful man with a wonderful intentions and M... moreay god bless his soul. Edgar, Emily & Angus relationship is the most purest love I've ever seen.
review 2: Can they republish this with a cover that fits, hmmm... well then people might not be as inclined to read it. The cover is really misleading.This is a romance, sweet, emotional, passionate. Yes there are erotic sex scenes but they are few and far between, the first one being quite deep into the story, maybe 40 or 50% in. Emily is sweet, Egar is caring. He is trying to protect the woman that has given him back joy, that he's fallen in love with. It is sweet and loving. Angus is passionate, untrusting, judgmental, it takes a lot for him to get over these. One can understand since he went from being a Laird in Scotland to an indentured servant taking care of English horses. It takes all three of them a lot of adjustments to do what will be the best in the end. They have to allow her, accept her, loving another man, and she needs to accepting that she can love two men, in very different ways. It was emotional. My only complaint is I thought the nephew and his wife got in the way of the story at the end. less
