review 1: I didnt know if I would like this book by an author that is new to me. I almost quit reading but stuck it out as I was on vacation and had time. I am glad I did. I am a sucker for the Scottish accent of Leam who is quitting being sort of a spy with the Falcon Club. That organization was a bit confusing and there were way too many characters in the beginning. Eventually the story got settled to a heroine who has a reputation but is still accepted in society when she meets Leam and has a moment of enlightenment about her actions that changes her life. Years later they meet again and still have sparks. Leam a widower has been hurt by love in the past and doesn't trust his emotions. Kitty accompanies her good friend Marie Antoine - a great character in the book who ch... moreanges her name frequently to meet her intended. They become stranded in a snow storm where Leam and his fellow Falconer are also staying. This is where the book improves- so much better . This part is 3 stars. The romance, bickering and bantering of the 4 stranded is funny and makes it worth the confusion of the beginning.
review 2: La primera parte del libro, toda una decepción, una consecución de escenas de seducción con algunos buenos diálogos. Y la historia un poco confusa. No está mal, si te esperas un libro muy hot, pero no era lo que yo esperaba. Con dos escenas, la de las cartas y la de la cocina, bien relatadas y muy subidas de tono. Que, al igual que a mí, seguro que os harán disfrutar mucho.La traducción no ha acompañado, demasiado literal, o al menos a mí me lo ha parecido.A partir de la mitad, el libro mejora bastante. Por fin llegan las anunciadas aventuras (menos de las que me esperaba) y al final la historia da un giro verdaderamente sorprendente y la narración, por fin, ha conseguido atraparme.Seguramente, me leeré los otros dos de la saga, sobre todo el de Yale...personaje que me ha gustado mucho. less
