review 1: I really loved this book! Though it had nothing really in depth about it, it was a fun book to read. I thought it had a good plot but they didn't use it in the best way. I also think it should of been longer. Overall, it was a great book to read and it was well worth it! The only thing I didn't like was how they jumped into the f.g. thing. I think they could of expanded it and made it a little bit better in the way they introduced it. But it was a fun book that I think anyone would like. :)
review 2: I bought this book recently at my local library's annual sale. There were many good deals like buy one and get two free. I was looking for another book and grabbed this one to get my awesome deal. Everyone in the previous reviews has mentioned that the cover is wha... moret appealed to them. Mine did not have a cover or information about the book, but I read the first page and thought it was creative and funny. I didn't realize it was a young adult book until a few pages in, nonetheless I know as a teenager I would have really enjoyed this book... As someone in my twenties I really enjoyed it. The characters are hilarious and sweet. People keep saying how more of the loss of Delaney's mother should have been captured in the story. Honestly I liked the book the way it is written. It was funny and written very well with many great metaphors. I think it also teaches a valuable lesson for people to simply be themselves. Maybe I'm a little biased because I grew up in NJ and moved to PA at 15 years old and was able to relate to the character, but I think it is important to look at positive things and to help others while in stressful situations. Also, this is a young adult book which has some magic in it. It is supposed to be a fun read with valuable lessons, not a dramatic novel. I gave this book four stars but really it is probably more of a 4.5. Amazing book and hope more young adults will enjoy it. I'll be reading the sequel very soon.
