review 1: I greatly enjoyed this book, I liked Fran though I wished she wasn't so down on herself for her gift and I wish Ben had a little more personality. it was a book ment for a YA so it was a fast read. I can't wait for the next book which will be an adult book. It did take me for ever to find this book cause it's been out of print for so long and could only find it online along with the next book. little annoying trying to find them.
review 2: I read this because ‘Got Fang’s’ is set in Hungary and I was looking for books set in Hungary – and I am reading my way through the ‘Aisling Grey’ which I am really enjoying. Fran is sixteen and a great little character – funny, loyal, emotional and sullen; in fact everything a teen is supposed to be! The l... moreeading man, Ben, is handsome, brooding and all round nice guy with edge. Both books are a nice blend of adventure, romance, mystery and humour; I have to confess that the Vikings in ‘Circus of the Darned’ stole the show for me. Well written stories which suit the age level they are aimed at (the tweens) with good supporting characters and the occasional over the top dialogue – but that is how teens speak – everything a drama; there are a few stolen kisses – but no hanky panky. There is 3rd book featuring Fran and Ben ‘In the Company of Vampires’ however, it is aimed at an older audience. less
