review 1: This is an enjoyable shifter suspense tale. Vampire Lyra Marius had a child by werewolf Finn Stavros 16 years ago. Finn didn't know she was pregnant when he broke off the relationship; he was worried that Lyra would be hurt if their relationship became public knowledge. The hybrid child has been kidnapped to use in a blood ritual to open hell gates. Lyra asks Finn for his help and together they find their daughter and the way back to each other. We're also introduced to the dragon Drake who fixates on Victoria, a member of Finn's pack. Am sure they feature in another of Reus' books. Will be looking for it.
review 2: Wish this was longer than 150 or so pages and maybe some small other details,but honestly I am so excited about this new series I can not wait for ... morethe next one in the series. I have a small amount of hope that this might be one of those series where some books are longer than others..so hopefully next one will be longer..I have always enjoyed reading Ms. Reus books, but this one has me so anxious, I really will be checking often for any news about the next one. I am at a lost about the cover though?Now I have to go back and see if he was ever in a suit? I know this book may have some faults,however it is worth the read and not only that ;you just know this series is going to pick up,it has that vibe.You know the type of series, the kind that has been around a while and just keeps getting better. Oh how many series have I checked out to read and looked at the first book and its rating is a 3.89 then the next is a 4, then the third is a 4.11 and so on.Yep this series is going to get better and it is already good. less
