review 1: Death Angles is another Swedish mystery novel. Here we follow Inspector Winter (who is an independently wealthy, handsome, successful, ladies' man, and youngest ever chief inspector) as he struggles through several horrific murder cases in both Gothenburg and London. It was hard to get into this book as it had an abrupt (and therefore confusing) start. Although the book eventually provided explanations, the twists and turns just kept coming until finally it was over... thankfully.
review 2: I do not really know where to start here. The premise was good, but also flawed, and I think there may have been some of this story, lost in translation. It is the first book in the series, maybe things will improve in the second. I had to keep going back and re-reading, bec... moreause I thought I was missing or skipping over parts of the story. The murder scene was not fully described and I found it frustrating that these details were omitted. Some of the dialogue and descriptive script was just plain crazy. I am willing to give this author another chance, as there is certainly potential, but I just hope he tries not to be too clever and abstract and sticks to writing a good crime story. With all the details included, please. less
