review 1: This just may be the cutest counting book ever! I like how the numbers 1 through 10 are each given an individual spotlight with different actions for the peas to engage in. It's a little odd how Baker chooses to lump 11 through 19 together and transitioning to counting by tens is not particularly smooth, but I appreciate how the numbers and counting go all the way up to 100. The illustrations are fun and contain all sorts of neat hidden details; I especially got a kick out of The Peatles giving a concert on the 70 page.
review 2: I acquired this book from within a box of Multi-grain Cheerios. It is a bilingual (English and Spanish) edition. I kept it back and added it to my son's Easter basket this year. He was very excited when he saw it and wanted me to re
... moread it right away. He loves for me to read to him.Recently I started trying to teach him his numbers. I think this book is a fantastic help. Not only does it teach numbers 1-10, it touches on 11-19 and 20 to 100 by factors of 10. The rhyming and repeating holds his attention wonderfully. The installations are beautiful and fun to look over on their own. Teach number features that many peas doing things such as dancing, singing, and painting.I was pleasantly surprised at this little wonder that came out of our cereal box and look forward to perhaps finding more Keith Baker books. less
