review 1: A fantasy story about a land where the queen has a Mother Earth type power, controlling the weather, bringing the sunshine. The last queen was assassinated, along with one of her two consorts -- the world is heavy on males, so all matches are mmf -- but the princess was whisked away, far too young to take the crown. In the intervening decades, no one has been able to find the new queen and the sun has vanished from the land. The queen's consorts -- chosen for her at birth -- have been relegated to the play toys of the new all female council. While forbidden from actual vaginal intercourse, they've been abused in every other way imaginable. Serving the sisters of the queen till the queen's return. (Not biological sisters, but a name given to all Rayian females).Sari, a you... moreng (twenty-ish) female of Rayian birth is found outside the castle walls by the royal guard. She has been abused by a male, something punishable by death. The captain of the guard leaves her with the queen's consorts -- Calder and Taryen -- so they can help heal her. Sari is everything the queen's sisters are not, kind and gentle, and they bring out a longing in the consorts that they'd never experienced before. Nice blend of mmf erotica, romance, and fantasy. Love all the principal characters. Love the story. Hoping the author returns to this world at some point.
review 2: Loved the story and characters. I didn't want the story to end, so I didn't want to keep reading it. The story is worth reading and usually I'm not a fan with happily ever after ending, the ending in this book made feel happy and not want to vomit from the sickening sweetness happily ever after. There were times where I was on the edge of my seat and I worried what was going to happen next. I couldn't stop reading it until I realized I was closed to the end and then I didn't want it to end. This is a must read story! less
