review 1: Most of the book was a set up for the events of the final chapters, which were interesting. The book was not nearly as compelling as the first in the series, Anna Dressed in Blood, and it is obvious that there will be a third to complete the series. This book had more ghost stuff, a new character that was not particularly interesting, some more rituals. I still read it very quickly because I wanted to know what would happen, and in that sense, I was not disappointed. Now I must find out how the series ends!
review 2: I'm really not sure why people said that this book was really slow because in my opinion this book is actually really good. I chose this book to read because I loved the first book," Anna Dressed in Blood". Apparently, the first book was a reccomen... moredation from Goodreads. I've noticed that most of the book recommendations that I get are from Goodreads. Did I mention that this book is in a guy's point of view? Because it is, I know the horror. But, this book is actually really captivating(or to me it is). This book is perfect for people who likes mild horror, but doesn't like inappropriate stuff.Just blood and guts, maybe a bit of body-ripping. This and that. What I love about this book is it's descripitive,but not too descriptive thst the author is just droning on and on like lectures at schools. "The morning sun coming through the windows hits the glass of the jar and refracts in every direction, bright gold, almost like a halo"(Blake 30). I can imagine that image in my mind. It's poetic but not at the same time(or is it just me). This is just a very good book. less
