review 1: This was a really good read, the storyline is really being fleshed out here with a lot of things going on in the story and just the right mix of love triangle troubles for our heroine. I genuinely enjoy all of the characters and appreciate the differences of the supernatural universe KW has built. It nice change from the usual where vamps, fairies and werewolves normally take centre stage. Can't wait for the 3rd installment!
review 2: I'm not a polished reviewer, but here goes: I really enjoyed this book. It's an urban fantasy based series, with vampires, witches, shapeshifters, etc. -- which currently is a crowded field, but I thought the author had a lot of success creating a unique mythology. The main characters are well developed and I was very successful... morely drawn into their story and was captive to the end of the book (which is a cliff hanger type ending). The author has a very natural writing style and has a great sense of imagination. I never felt that the story line was predicable and was intrigued right up to the end. I'm looking very forward to future additions to the series. less
