review 1: Linus and five others are captured and held in an underground bunker by a man who never reveals his himself or his demands. In what could be a psychological torture experiment they are watched continuously and their daily movements are limited. As the days progress and they attempt to find freedom, their rations are shut-off and other forms of torture are introduced into their world. In a sick twist, they are told (by a note) that they will be able to be freed if they kill one of their fellow prisoners.
review 2: I can't even begin to describe how much I love this book. I read it in about two days and I couldn't get my head around it afterwards, and I really related to the characters. I recommend this book to anyone, its kind of horror, but not your regular kin... mored of horror. I felt like I could connect with Linus and how he suffered. I'm not going to give any more away, but all I can say is that it's one of my all time favourite book and you should definitely give it a go! less
