review 1: A fun & easy read. I didn't want to put it down! I couldn't help but crack up at myself when I understood the Star Trek & Star Wars references made by the characters in the book. If you are unfamiliar with either, it will be lost on you & you might not like the book as much.If you love Star Trek, Star Wars, & Zombie stories (of course), & can laugh at these things without it making you crazy that this book is combo of the three, then I really think you will enjoy this entertaining tale!I don't want to ruin it, but I don't want you totally in the dark, so here is the basic premise:Big Trekkie convention. Uh oh! Somebody is Zombie infected! Uh oh! The whole hotel & town are infected! Egads! Only a few survivors remain. Yes, the survivors are all Star Trek fans in one degree ... moreor another. Lots of Zombie killing, what would Picard do's, and fun Star Trek weapons among other things. Our characters are fighting for their lives, trapped in a giant hotel, desperate to get out, they find they really really need to get out, and on top of that some of the non Zombie folks in the hotel with them are not very nice people. Oh, & there is a little romance!So there you have it! You get a little of everything all in one well written package! So sit back & - engage.
review 2: I loved this book. Thanks to Rhonda (Gary's co-worker) for introducing me to this silly, creative and highly imaginative book. It was well written and had a lot of Star Trek and Star Wars quotes and story lines in it which made me chuckle whenever I encountered them. I enjoyed it immensely. No major message or deep meaning except that bravery and lightness prevails over those who wish to destroy the human race... :) less
