review 1: Asır gibi uzun gelen (aslında 2 ay) bir süreden sonra historicala dönüş yapmak mükemmel. Özellikle böyle iyi kitapla.Maalesef ki geç keşfettiğim bir kitap oldu. Kardeşim sağolsun öyle bir kötüledi ki vakit kaybı olur diye düşünmüştüm. Artık hangi kafada okuduysa bunu bilemiyorum resmen hakkını yemiş kitabın. İyi ki diğer yorumları da göz önüne almışım. Hatta kitap zevkimin uyuşmadığı bir kaç kişi ile bile uyuşmuş gördüm.Bu kadar ara verdim diye midir bilmiyorum, o kadar eğlenceli bir kitaptı ki ara vermek bile zor geldi. Özellikle tarihi romanlarda böylesine eğlenceli, doğal ve ağdalı anlatımdan uzak bir kitap okudum mu hatırlamıyorum. Bir çok yerde tarihi roman okuduğumu unutup günümüz aşk romanı okuyor gib... morei hissettim. Tabi ki bu historical için bir eksi olarak düşünülebilir ama ben çok hoşlandım. Allah'ım demek ki o dönemde de normal konuşan insanlar varmış (ya da olduğunu düşünen bir yazar varmış) diye çokça geçirdim içimden :D Molly ve Harry arasındaki diyaloglar çok güzeldi. Ama en çok kızın dik durmasını ve erkeğin odun olmamasını sevdim. Tabi ki uyuzluk yaptığı yerler oldu. Özellikle geçmişten tanıştıkları ve birbirlerine gıcık oldukları düşülünce. Zaten ismi de bu açıdan çok uygundu. Birbirlerini tanıyorlar ama aslında hiç tanımıyorlar. Bu bir hafta da yakinen tanıma fırsatı buluyorlar.Gerçi şu göz rengine takılmadım değil. Sanki kız kahverengi gözlü de gün ışığına çıkınca mavi oluyor. Tuhaf bir karar veremediler. Zaten rahmetli anası içinde bir yerde yaşıyormuş gibi bahsetti. Oralara az daha dikkat edilse çok iyi olurmuş.Farklı bir lezzet arayanlar şansını Kieran Kramer de deneyebilir (:
review 2: This is book 1 of the Impossible Bachelor series and my second Kieran Kramer book. I read things out of order and started with book 2 [[book:Dukes to the Left of Me, Princes to the Right|7951569]] but that just whetted my appetite to make sure I read this book ASAP.The book starts off nearly a decade before present time when our heroine Molly was 14 years old. At a Christmas ball held at her home, she decided on reading a poem she wrote to the assembled audience as part of the children's entertainment. The subject of the poem was her adoration to her sister Penelope's fiance, Roderick. In her fervor to declare her love for Roderick, she unwittingly revealed that Harry (Roderick's younger brother) kissed Penelope. Of course, despite changing their names, the assembled guests all figured it out, including Roderick causing him to get into a fist fight with Harry. That leads to Harry's father sending him off to the Army and Molly's father sending her to a strict school to try and curb her wild ways.Skip ahead to the present day and while Molly has learned decorum, she still is wild inside and in order to escape the doldrums of being kept out of London and stuck with Cousin Augusta, she decides to elope with her father's assistant, Cedric. However, things run amok when Cedric leaves Molly at an Inn while he runs off with another woman......who turns out to be Harry's mistress, Fiona!Harry and his mistress had been on their way to a house party that the Prince Regent had set up, one where 5 Impossible bachelors that he chose decide which of their mistresses was the best to win the Most Delectable companion award allowing the winning bachelor who would free from all marriage attempts for the next year. With Fiona gone, Harry must scramble to find a replacement or lose by default. But at the same time, as a gentleman, Harry knows that he can't leave Molly alone at the Inn or he'd be as much as a scoundrel as Cedric. So Harry devises a plan to make Molly his false mistress until he can get her safely back home.Thus ensues an absolutely delightful story as Molly transforms from a gently bred lady to a true (yet false) mistress in order to help Harry win the competition. And all the while, Harry and Molly realize that despite the "Christmas incident", they don't truly hate each other.I absolutely LOVED this book. Everything about it was delightful, there were as many heart-warming moments as there were moments when I was just giggling along. The relationship Molly makes with the other mistresses was wonderful and the mistress games they had to play were hilarious.Highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series. Up next for me is book 3 [[book:Cloudy With A Chance Of Marriage|8727199]] which I'm so excited to get to! less
