review 1: Reading this short story was like getting kicked in the chest by a mule over and over and over again. It follows Marco and Scott through twenty years of friendship and heartache and had me crying uncontrollably almost the whole time. I'm not sure that I'd classify it as "heartwarming" (although we do get a sweet HEA at the end of the story), but it was well-written and absolutely chock-full of emotion.
review 2: 2 stars for the writing that got me to finish it, otherwise another one of that harebrained stories. Nope, didn't work for me at all. Sorry for being so negative, but really - meeting every 5 years for what, several hours? And then after 10 years there is this huge impulse to get on a search for the big, true love? Sorry, don't get it, don't buy it. Thi... mores whole thing was one loose end after the other. Like an outline for a story? less
