review 1: This was a 3.5 star read for me. Aria is just struggling through high school life with a complicated gift. She's an Oracle, so anytime she's asked a question she answers with the truth. A classmate from her high school goes missing and then is found dead. Suddenly questions are all around and Aria is about to hear answers she might not want to know. This was a good mystery even though it didn't take too long to figure out the bad person. I liked Aria's responses to questions asked, so haunting. It's also a quick read that you could finish in under a day.
review 2: I was initially drawn into this book by the interesting premise of Aria Morse being an Oracle - cursed to answer the truth when she hears a question. She is shunned at her high school and labeled a f
... morereak. One of the only people who is kind to Aria, a girl name Jade, disappears, and then is discovered murdered. Before she died, Jade was dating two different boys, the school demi-god Will, and the "bad boy" Alex. When the book started to go downhill for me is when Aria starts seeing both these boys. I won't go into details to spoil the plotline, but for me it wasn't hard to figure out who the "bad guy" really was. less
