review 1: OK I loved Ford's rough edges in Just One Reason and was happy to purchase Fourth Down for his story. Ford's dreams are shattered in a huge play during his junior year of college football, he planned to go onto the NFL and now he is stuck back home tending bar. Not to mention his mom has cancer again. Your heart really goes out to this poor guy who you kind of love to hate as he interacts with everyone so gruffly. In comes Poppy, she has had a tough life but made the best of things and working towards her goals. She really fights her attraction to Ford to avoid being hurt but this powerful story really tells it so well. I loved it, especially the ending. And love that the other characters from the other books are still a part of this storyline. My FAV.LOVE LOVE... more LOVE
review 2: Ford, Ford...how you are one of my favorite men in this series!!! Heck Yes! Another HEA!!!! Have I mentioned before, how much I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!! If you have read the 2nd book, than you met Ford. He works at the bar, that everyone in town goes to. He is probably one of the HOTTEST bartenders out there!!! Ford, has a touch exterior, but once you read more of what happened to him, you just LOVE him more. The girl who is trying to win over Ford's Poppy. Okay, okay, there "friendship" starts off a little rocky, because her friend gets in trouble at the bar, where Ford works ;)Poppy is in college, and she wants to be a doctor, so to keep her dream going, she works for hospice/caregiver. When she is assigned to a patient that is close to Ford. She finally gets Fords, tough wall to come down. I love that the characters from the other books, make appearances all the time in these books!!! There is not one couple that I do not like!!!! less
