review 1: If you like zombies, you'll love this book! If you DON'T particularly like zombies, you'll still like this book! It's a very funny actionpacked story about a girl whose class field trip turns into a deadly encounter with zombie classmates. Her dry sense of humor is hilarious. there is some gore, but not too much. Very self-aware, kind of like a B-movie in book form. The Americanisms vs. Britishisms were cute too, as she is a Brit who spent time in America and now sounds more American than British to her classmates. No real swearing, just "pseudo-swearing", fine for middle schoolers who enjoy reading suspenseful funny zombie capers.
review 2: Bobbie is on a class trip with her classmates, and when they make a scheduled stop, things go horribly awry. Most of the ... moreclass, including the teachers have somehow been turned into zombies. Bobbie is stuck with Smitty, another outcast like herself, Alice, a cheerleader, and Pete, the albino nerd. This small group has to figure out what went wrong, find safety from the zombies, and ultimately escape the snowstorm that has them trapped with the zombies. At times the tension is pretty high, but the book is also told kind of irreverently. A fun read. less
