review 1: I think I would have enjoyed it more if the writing style wasn't so awkward. Kelley Armstrong is one of my favorite writers of all time, but I think she and Melissa Marr need a lot more practice writing books for younger readers without all the extraneous explanations and clunky dialog. Still, the characters themselves were enjoyable, and the plot was interesting. This book is a promising build-up to the rest of the series.
review 2: This is an interesting book based on Norse myths. The Norse gods are dead, but their descendants are still around.
