review 1: A very colorful, cute, and loud picture book starring a skeleton cat who gets to come back for its tenth life as a drummer. The cartoony illustrations are fun and bright, though some young readers may be a bit frightened by the skeleton and ghosts (though this would be a great book to help those who are easily scared to be less so). The rhyming words are very rhythmic and make you want to sing then aloud rather then read them quietly to yourself. Fantastic for story time or music class, this picture book will be a hit, even though the ending is rather quick and abrupt.(Puget Sound Council Review)
review 2: A catchy rhyming readSkeleton cat awakes from the grave with a big dream. He wants to be a drummer. Despite the discouragement from the other ghost and ghoul
... mores of the graveyard, when he sees a flyer for an audition that night, Skeleton Cat makes his was across town. As he rattles and shakes, clinks and ka-plinks, Skeleton Cat finds his beat. But will he find his perfect band too? With silly rhymes, an upbeat attitude, and catchy illustrations, Skeleton Cat makes a great read out loud. Recommended for readers age 4-8.
