review 1: I was looking on iTunes for a good audio book to keep me busy while at the lake with my four teens & their friends. I found "Sex,Murder and a Double Latte" by: Kyra Davis and couldn't stop listening!Now I've listened to or read all the books in The Sophie Katz series and can't wait for more!!No matter how hard Sophie tries she just can't seem to stop getting involved in solving murder mysteries.Sophie and her friends keep you drawn into every story right up until the last word.Sophie's relationship with Anatoly her Private Investigator boyfriend with his sexy Russian accent keeps you drawn in as well....GREAT AUTHOR..GREAT BOOKS..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
review 2: There is a reason why I read series books. It gives the author a chance to redeem themselves if the f... moreirst book fell short. The first time I met Sophie Katz I could not stand her. I thought she was a selfish, alcoholic and I wanted her to get punched in the face. BUT these last few books she has really grown on me. I see her now is funny, insecure, impulsive, but still an alcoholic. But I'm drawn to her and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. In this book Anatoly's past comes back to haunt him and Sophie is caught in the cross fire. After finding out from Pyscho Fawn that her long time boyfriend is married, Sophie goes to Las Vegas with Dena and Marcus to try and clear her head and have a good time. What she gets is a dead body and a a world of trouble. Between the Russian Mafia, Shape Shifting Penises, and a kick ass Dena this book kept me laughing and excited the entire way through. less
