So Much To Learn

Monday has turned into my research day and I am struggling with Ancestry.com. Back in the old days….16 years ago, it was easy to contact someone. Now I can’t even find an email? I have tried to send a message to a couple of people and if they aren’t paying members it won’t let me. I’m stuck with Ancestry for the next 6 months and so far I am not liking them very much.

On a whim I decided to search Facebook for my coalniner that hasn’t answered the email I sent to a 16 yr old account.  I couldn’t even believe how easy it was to find him! At this point in the game, I am leaning towards Facebook as being more helpful than Ancestry. I really am upset with them at the moment.

On a lighter note…..KB stopped over tonight and I gave my last Christmas present. I bought KB’s and RD’s present at the same place and I thought they were both clever. I guess I can finally post the pictures now. RD has a few antique spools around so when I saw this one with a Christmas theme, I snatched it up….

KB’s…..I thought someone was extra clever and found a use for their old Christmas tree….A mason jar….some wooden stars….and some paint…..

I was impressed with this and couldn’t wait to show you! Who knows….someday I may even copy it.  So clever…..

In sticking with my downsizing theme, I did get rid of this…..

The cat had no interest in it and since I made him his new cat condo type stool thing, it was time to let this go. Negative Nancy always has foster kittens so I gave it to her. Hopefully the little feral kittens like it.

The girl needed to buy War of the Worlds for one of her classes so we went to Barnes and Noble last night. I found a few unexpected deals. I may go back for more….the girl who does my hair is pregnant and one of the girls that the girl works with may be pregnant. I already bought three for next years Christmas presents….

Super cute board books for babies and they were on clearance for $2.49. I think it’s a steal! They also had a young adult section for 75% off. The girl picked out 4 books for $1.99 and I picked out these two. SB and I have read some really good YA books so I never count them out….

I made another crystal grid on Monday, this one was made with intention. The first one I made just to make one and my Reiki hands were instantly ablaze. This one is more of a slow burn but the energy is definitely there. I am really liking  working crystal grids.  That stone in the middle is an Apophyllite  and holy cow is the pulse strong in that stone. It’s stronger than even my Labradorite point. I have been working with crystals on and off for seventeen years and finally I have connected to at least two of them.

That has been my week so far….mostly quiet and that’s a good thing…..Zia
