review 1: I was really surprise a paranormal romance book can get me hooked and made me have less sleeping time until I have bags under my eyes. Once you start reading the book it becomes something very addictive because you will have to fight your will to put it down. Runa a female character that really very impressive. From timid girl she turn to become the strongest in the group. I meant strong here is not necessary in physically but mentally. At one point in life the mental strength is what going to keep us going when our body give out. She is a very strong character.Shade on the other hand is an resemblance of an alpha male character who reallyis very protective. However he feel this guilt that he cant protect the women in his life which haunts him. Moreover Shade is very passi... moreonate about his paramedic job which brings the best in him.In this story one could learn that everyone has a past guilt, mistake or regret that have occurred in the past. If we let it control us we will have no power in determining our own life. We need to go the past in order to enjoy the current present we have . If not we could not find the internal happiness we long for.It is a very powerful message that was given in the story. In life we need to let go what is burdening our heart. If not it will turn to become slow poison and start killing us from inside. I believe the story will make some impact to the readers. It does to me.
review 2: When Seminus Demon Shade wakes up chained in a dungeon, he doesn't know how he got there or who is behind his kidnapping. He also doesn't know why his ex-girlfriend, Runa Wagner, is locked up with him. Runa hates Shade, blaming him for their breakup and for the attack that changed her life. Now an enemy from Shade's past wants revenge against him and his brothers. After watching Shade endure hours of torture at his enemy's hands, Runa will do anything she can to help him survive. But Runa is just as dangerous to Shade who must keep his distance from Runa or endure a life of hell because of an ancient curse.Wow, this story has everything...an interesting plot, a scary villain, great romance and hot sex. On top of that there is humor, appealing characters, and compelling secondary romance. I liked Shade when he was introduced in the first book. Runa is a perfect mate for him. I also loved the Underground General Hospital setting which is so unique for a paranormal series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. My rating: 5 Stars. less
