review 1: Larry Correia's writing gets better and better. In MHI Legion he tackled some tough subjects such as self hate and recrimination, while spinning his typical action filled "romp" against the forces of evil. As I found in his first 3 MHI books, he was a little clumsy and heavy handed as he attempted to wrestle with these psychological themes. However, when he gets back to what he is a master of, weaving real history into the alternate reality of the series, he really shines. I was really moved to tears by the back story of a main character and what he and his family experienced in our country during WWII. Good overall, and a real treat for fans.
review 2: I enjoyed the book and it certainly kept me engaged while reading, it just didn't have the same sort of compl
... moreeteness or flair of the previous two "Pitt" stories. The entire book was compressed, taking place over just a few hours in a hotel in Las Vegas and felt something like a big setup for the next book, or something like a filler episode. So once again, enjoyable book, not my favourite of the series, but it did have a cool boss-monster. less
