review 1: I'm so glad, that I picked up this book FAR GONE at the airport. It kept my interest until the end. A real page turner! Written by Laura Griffin, I found it an excellent read! I loved her two main characters Andrea Finch, a police detective and Jon North, a FBI agent. Ms. Griffin's heroine is a determined and independent, woman, who likes to have her own way, until Jon enters her life! I am not disappoint, it's a wonderful romantic thriller filled with suspense. I recommend this book to thrill seekers! Ms. Griffin is a new-to-me author and I'm looking forward to read her next books.
review 2: A detective and an FBI agent? That's really all I need to know. But seriously, I was very happy with this story. Admittedly most of what I have read lately has a lot mor... moree sex in it but I think it says something that I was happy with this story even though the sex was a very small part. And although there was certainly angst it actually wasn't too over the top. In a lot of ways this made the story feel more realistic as Andrea Finch is facing the struggles of being a woman in law enforcement. Part of her hesitation in getting involved with Jon North is her concerns about being strong and not relying on someone (partly due to those job concerns). The suspense of the story kept me involved to the end. less
