review 1: Good horror novel until the end. Quick read. Someone coming to terms with a real life nightmare was intriguing, as well as the fact that the killer is still out there. Plot was predictable with no real twists. Liked the use of ALL of the horror movie tropes, and the various characters. Thought the epilogue with each person's nightmare narrative was kind of lame and unnecessary. Fun book to read if you like horror. Would I read the sequel? Maybe.
review 2: A group of kids enter a contest by writing essays about their nightmares and the prize for being chosen is a weekend getaway where they get to meet a famous horror film director and see a cut of his new movie. The kids chosen couldn't be more different. When they arrive, they are taken to a B&B that resem... morebles the house from one of the movies and are left there to explore. The next day they are taken to an abandoned amusement park and challenged with facing their fears in order to leave. What follows is a twisted game of their fears coming to life. less
