review 1: This was a great read with two strong MCs. I especially liked that Dare openly admitted that he was going to mess up things occasionally but he also didn't deny his feelings. This is the second in the series and I'm looking forward to reading more about the Breakers Bad Boys. (One small pet peeve: I hate the spelling of his first name. It was waaay too cheesy and trendy. I kept reading 'Dark' instead of'Daryk'.)
review 2: I feel like I waited forever for this one. First read, was mildly disappointed, felt like it didnt measure up to Hammers Fall. Second read, stopped mentally comparing it to Hammers Fall and was pleasantly surprised. Not sure why I didnt like this one as much as the first one. I think I expected more from Dare. I liked what I got but I wanted m
... moreore. I cried at parts of this book (which is always a sign of a great read for me) but I just felt like something was missing. I liked how Laurie including the characters from the first book without making this one feel like a continuation of Hammers Fall (which is still my favorite). Not sure what I expected from Evie, but after learning about her past I understood why she lives her life the way she does. I think for me, everything happened fast without the internal stuggle I expected. I think I expected Dare to be more stanoffish, making Eve work a little harder to get closer to him. All in all I liked the book and will anxiously await the next one. I really like all these characters and cannot wait to read their HEA. less

Def. not as good as Hammer's story, really disappointed. Evie deserved a hotter story.
