review 1: An assassins b0ok, yey! The pace was super exciting and I just love unfeeling female assassins. Bullet. Bones. Blade. Arrow. Pure, perfect, poison0us, the First Team of assassins. This bo0k is about Bullet, a.k.a. Gretchen a.k.a. Remi. Their d0wnfall is usually love and Bullet is n0 excepti0n. I was amazed by her alm0st superhero skills and captivated by her upbringing which was 0n the very first page of this bo0k. I think that was the best part of it. She was stubb0rn as a mule, as c0nfident as a diva and as cold as a winter queen. She hadnt admitted it even after the bo0k ends but she fell in l0ve with Rand Beckett wh0 had spend his life pl0tting and destroying The Collective, the organizati0n that raised and trained the First Team, and had also murdered Rand's family.T... morehe st0ry was full of m0vie w0rthy acti0n scenes. I was gripping my e- reader the whole time and I couldnt be bothered to put it d0wn unless to sleep. I think what b0thered me was the length it t0ok t0 get their revenge, which was the ultimate g0al of our H/h. At s0me p0int, a tiny p0int i might add, n0thing was happening, just sex? Can a b0ok have t0o much sex? For an assassins b0ok I expected much m0re killing and less sexy times. But that was just a min0r disapp0intment. Overall it was an exciting b0ok. The delivery displaying m0st scenes with Bullet felt s0 real, like watching a m0vie.Rand was understandbly c0nfusing and in denial at first. To care for s0me0ne wh0 represents th0se wh0 murdered his l0ved 0nes can turn int0 bitterness and definitely hard t0 swall0w. It t0ok a l0t for this tw0 t0 be t0gether and I imagine it will 0nly get better in the succeeding stories. Several characters fr0m b0th sides were intr0duced. Adam. Dmitri. Raine. Ken. And I just loved the part where her sisters made an appearance, Arr0w and Blade. I just knew that they would be deadly and g0rgeous and would be paired up too later 0n in the series.Lo0king forward t0 m0re killing skills with B0ne, Blade, and Arr0w. :) Happy I found it 0n Stephanies' shelves.
review 2: One of the strongest Heroines I've ever read & I want to be her when I grow up! Bullet was amazing & didn't let anything or anyone get in the way of her ultimate goal, Revenge until she meets Rand. He is the one person who can shatter her world. But instead of breaking her he makes her feel things she hasn't felt her whole life and in doing so shows her there is more to the life then she had been forced to live. My heart broke many times for Bullet, all she is used to is death but Rand forces his way into her heart to remind her of the girl she left behind. This story was incredible and I couldn't put it down till the very end. The action was exciting, the storyline interesting and the characters felt real. I can't wait to read more about these characters & see where the story takes me. 5 Action Packed Stars! less
