review 1: I started reading this book and I was sort of meh. Although other reviewers didn't seem to like Marty, I did almost from the beginning. The one I didn't like was Buck. What an annoying character. But as the book went on I got liking Buck's character more and more. I also liked how Buck made Marty evaluate himself. I bought all in about halfway through. I then was looking forward to how the relationship would be between Buck and Marty and where would the author leave it. I'd give 5 stars to the first 99% of the book, but the ending was so bad it dropped my overall rating to 3 stars. Sad that the ending is so lame, it ruined a perfectly good and enjoyable book.
review 2: I read this book in a matter of hours. It was suspenseful and fast-paced. And I really liked
... morethe last chapter- it earned a star just by itself. However, it was simply written, which seemed to fit the storyline, but there were a few scenes that would've been even better with more eloquent, patient writing. Some of the best parts seemed to be rushed through, instead of holding the suspense and action a little longer. Overall, I recommend this as a quick read. less

Meh. I got it for $.99 on Kindle. If I'd spent too much more I probably would have been bummed.
