review 1: I'm writing this review after finishing the third installment. After this book I was so angry. It hurt me to know how much Mal loved Alina, and she loved him to, but it just couldn't be. MAKE IT WORK! I'm too much of a hopeless romantic to root for the Darklinh, although the mystery is intriguing. And I did enjoy the introduction of Nikolai. But for the love of all that is holy, just let them be together.
review 2: Bardugo's follow up to Shadow and Bone does not disappoint. We pick up the story with Alina and Mal on the run from the Darkling. Aboard ship, they are surrounded by seamen whose loyalties are not known. Bardugo keeps us guessing about different characters motivations throughout and does a great job pacing the action and the romantic entanglements
... more. I can't wait for the conclusion of the trilogy. less

Holy goodness. Where could this possibly go? What kind of an ending was that? I need more. MORE.
