review 1: I feel like The Too-Clever Fox is really somewhat of a fable more than just a tale because there’s a nice little “moral of the story” at the end and we learn something from the fox’s encounters in this tale.I loved how clever the fox was and there were even some tiny twists, making the entire tale clever in itself. This story wasn’t as gruesome as THE WITCH OF DUVA, but it’s also not without it’s own touch of villains and it does get a little dark at times. It’s billed as #2.5, but really this can be read at any point in time in the series. It’s another folk tale, like THE WITCH OF DUVA, so there really aren’t any spoilers or major plot points for the series.
review 2: The Too-Clever Fox reminds me so much of Red Riding Hood. The story is so
... more well-crafted and interesting , thou I don't see anything resembling the Grisha Trilogy. This short story is about a tattered fox, Koja, who has outsmarted every trap and other animals managing to survive. But with the arrival of a hunter, he may have found his match? Could he survived? Or be outsmart for the first time in his life? "The trap is loneliness, and none of us escapes it. Not even me."Great story, but an awesome author. 5 Stars less

Fun, quick read. Reminded me of an Anansi story.
