review 1: The Too-Clever Fox is a brilliant fairy tale with dark twists and turns. Gosh, I didn't even see that last twist coming. I'm talking about the girl and her sled twist. The Too-Clever Fox may be a good short story, but it has nothing to do with Grisha. Or at least not yet. Does anyone know the connection between the Grisha and The Too-Clever Fox? I can't seem to find it.Still, bravo to Leigh Bardugo in this excellent small tale.Rating: Five out of Five (The last line is killer. "She was wise." Good one).
review 2: Just finished this short original folk tale that serves as a companion to Bardugo's Grisha books. Reading this has cemented my belief that Bardugo is truly talented. It's very well done and reads like a classic folk story. Though it doesn't directly re... morelate to the Grisha books, it definitely feels set in the same world and, if one took the time, I'm sure one could find some parallels between this tale and the Grisha novels. less
