review 1: I was desperately hoping that this book would be another good book I could become lost in and fall in love with. My hopes were high when I first started reading the book because I was very much wrapped up in Alina's story. I like how she isn't perfect but it became a little annoying when she kept bringing up her lack of beauty. I was obsessed with the Darkling because I love sexy bad boys and the name Darkling SCREAMS just that. Towards the middle of the book, the story lost it's charm a little and I thought Alina became a little stuck up while she was in the Grisha life. I wanted oh so badly for Alina and the darkling to have a relationship but the more I thought about it, the more strange it felt and that's when the book became even more disappointing. Of course my revie... morew isn't based solely on the romance aspect of the story. Since the Darkling and Alina didn't seem anymore like a good match-up, it was a good twist that he was actually not as good as we thought. Although my fantasy died, I starting liking Alina with Mal more anyway and it was a nice change for the childhood friend to be the one for the hero. Although it wasn't an amazing read like I thought it would be, it was still a good story and I'll most likely read the next book and hope it becomes even more interesting.
Tranquillamente evitabile e pronto a cadere nell'oblio. less
