review 1: Please please tell me there is a third! And will come out soon!! I adore Downton Abbey and I certainly think this book series has a wonderful way of bringing you back to the 1900's (off screen). The main romance in the first book, between Lady Ada and Ravi was a bit too fast for my liking. Though I liked the two of them together and felt them well-matched there wasn't enough dialogue or action between them for me to really ship them. But this sequel!!! Oh this sequel's romance between Lady Rose and Alexander Ross really did it for me! They had chemistry, disagreements, charm, and I really got to know both characters individually. Overall this book was much better, especially since I got to see the points of view from many more characters this time around. So YAYY!! And ill... more be counting down the days until the third!
review 2: Diamonds & Deceit pretty much picks up where Sapphires & Cinders left off. All of the favorite characters are back along with some new faces. It is great to be back with familiar characters and their stories. There are some very unexpected twists as well as some thing most readers will probably see coming. Overall it is a very satisfying sequel, though it definitely leaves the reader wanting more. Some of the ongoing plots are resolved, but several new ones are started as well, and it will be interesting to see where the sequel to this book goes. Diamonds & Deceit gets four out of five stars. less
