review 1: "No matter what life brings you, kick some grass over that s*** and move on."Things I liked about this book:-One of the main premises that I disagreed with in the first book was resolved: Colin got his shot.-Pierce really is a great guy, and he provides some very sweet and lovable moments!-There is a happy ending.Things that I didn't love in this book:-While I'm normally okay with love triangle stories, this love triangle just didn't work for me. I just couldn't connect emotionally with the characters, probably because I didn't agree with the choices they made for themselves.-While there was one shocker, most of the book was predictable and therefore didn't pique my interest as much as I'd have liked.Overall, this series just wasn't my cup of tea. However, as the saying go... morees, "different strokes for different folks." My opinion is just that, MY opinion. It's provided in order to give potential readers- or people who have finished the story already - just one take. I would never want to discourage someone from reading a book! If the synopsis interests you and you're really okay with a love triangle, you may really connect to the characters and enjoy this series!**A copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review**
review 2: I just finished Shattered Lives Mended Hearts and I really liked it. If you have read the series then you know this is the second one while the first one is The One Left Behind. Addison Pierce and Colin and all in turmoil. Addison was engaged to Colin when they were in a car accident. She lost her short term memory and didn't remember who Colin was, as she was trying to regain her memory she meets Pierce. What turns out as an innocent friendship develops into love between them. She doesn't regain her memory until she is walking down the aisle to meet Pierce to get married. That is how the 1st book ends. She remembers. Now we have this book which is going through their lives while she tries to make a decision. Who will she choose. Pierce or Colin? I can tell you that it was a hard decision but you will have to read and see who she chooses....I really liked the story and I thought that it flowed really well. I loved how it was in in Addison, Pierce and Colin's point of view. You really got to see how they were all feeling and why they made the decisions that they made. For Addison, it really is a hard decision. Once the memories return, her feelings for Pierce remain the same. She definitely had a hard decision. I was on the fence, I loved both of them and I had no idea who she was going to choose. Once things started to change I knew who it was going to be. Did it take away from the story, no it did not. I still enjoyed it.I loved all the secondary characters and love how the author set up the next ones. I saw it coming but cant wait to see how it turns out.I loved how her friends were giving good advice and was glad that they were their to keep their heads on straight while Addison had to decide what to do.
