review 1: (My first erotic read). An interesting story, a bit predictable. Halfway or quarter way through I realized it wasn't my type but I won't let that affect the review. It starts off with a misunderstanding at an auction, proceeds with a date and a bit of witty banter (we all love those don't we?) Moves to the bedroom. Oh wait, I meant ALLEY then the bedroom. I honestly have nothing to compare this with seeing as its my first in the erotic category. I'm guessing it wasn't very graphic, the sex scenes in my opinion were mild, they weren't at all over-the-top-leading-to-s&m. Short read and can be completed in one sitting. Not memorable but it was good. The writing style seemed mature/professional/well edited and that's something I tend to look for when I'm rea... moreding.
review 2: I had to read this for school to talk about modern pulp romance conventions vs classic romance conventions. This book actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the main character Madddie wasn't like the typical women you see in these kinds of books which was nice. She definitely was no Anastasia Steele. Jake was the typical all american boy which made it kind of boring sometimes, but at least he was funny and a gentleman. Not much else to say about this book besides the fact that it provided lots of material to talk about in my essay, so that's good hahaha less

I had a hard time connecting with these characters and it was a bit cheesy.
