review 1: The Peake drawings are wonderful and both books are so different. The Looking-glass book has a darkness to it that is quite special and it's definitely, with the plum-pudding Snap-dragon-fly and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the curioser book. The books have a melancholy which I didn't notice in my childhood reading and Alice's conversations are in themselves brilliantly quirky reflections on language.

... moreiate the book more is the fact that I've bought this gorgeous edition, which contained a lot of manga-styled illustrations. As for Alice, she sure is a very curious and talkative girl, but I really like how she reflected little 7 years old girls (I could easily see myself or my little sister in her).I don't regret reading this book when I was supposed to read something else, but hey, you can't really blame me... I'm on holiday! *dances like crazy* less

This was much different than I thought it would be and a much easier read as well. But I liked it.

This is a great story. I enjoyed it. I'm glad I read it. That's what I have to say about it.

I loved Alice's adventures in wonderland much more than through the looking glass.
