review 1: So Steal the Light was a pretty decent read. However, I feel like the majority of the book was spent on Zoey and her boy drama and had very little action. One of the things that really got to me though was that zoey knew that a Companion was sort of like a wife in the vampire world. She even called it that herself. She goes on and on and on about how she just want's Danny back and she would be completely okay with being a companion. Then after they've finally done the deed she gets pissed because he apparently 'tricked' her into the whole thing. She gets so pissed that she turns her back on the guy that she's loved all her life and throws herself at the other guy. Seriously?! Needless, to say this whole ordeal makes zoey seem like a pathetic indecisive flake which is s... moread cause I had initially thought she was an okay character.
review 2: I totally enjoyed this and it's gone into my favourites. I liked the character, her level of impulsiveness, her confusion, and the actual story, and I've already got the next book. I love when you can read a series with the next book already available. The big time warp between books often frustrates me and leaves the story becoming a distant memory, disjointed, mixed up with every other book you've read, and sometimes leaveing you thinking 'have I read this before'? It's akin to missing a digit or any other body part and takes some time move out of the lost basket and into the found. less
