review 1: aeroplane read. spoiler at the start - apparently a sample of JA's hair has been tested for arsenic and found positive. thus is an explanation for that. using an outsider - governess, who is nevertheless welcomed as a friend and knows the very large family, does work as a driver for the story but there were other anachronistic aspects - too much girlish giggling and familiarity , . author does fit the story round actual events quite cleverly. I just don't like to think of a murder in this context!
review 2: While not a fan of mysteries(except for Boston's own Spenser for Hire), I enjoyed this one. Having heard the recent BBC 4 Radio adaptation, I knew who did it. That didn't lessen my enjoyment. My two favorite Austen reviews, Laurel-Austenprose and Meredith-Au

Very interesting story of the life of Jane Austen and the mystery surrounding her death.
