review 1: Oh how I loved this book. It is one of those books you can't put down, but at the same time you don't want to ever finish it. The mystery was intriguing and I loved all the characters. The only part that I didn't like about the book was my devastation when one of my favorite characters turned into a villain near the end of the book - it really bummed me out! Not really a happy ending, but it still managed to leave me full of hope and smiling.
review 2: Wow, a really pleasant surprise! I picked this book out of a very restricted offering while on holiday and thought the synopsis sounded OK, well, I raced through the 560 pages and really loved the story! It wasn't a hard read, but it was a lovely story. It was set in London in two eras: one I love as a period of ... morehistory and the other the time I spent in London as a student. I am so pleased I chose this book, despite the rather 'awful' cover artwork!! less
