review 1: This book gets a firm 5 stars from me! I just loved the different view points from different family members as they each delve back into the past. As for Lorelei and her hoarding? As I tend to be more of a neat freak, I wanted to virtually go into the story and ring her neck. It was such an irritating syndrome, but I do realise it is also a disease caused by trauma, in Lorelei's past. I also loved finding out the little secrets as the story slowly unwinds. Satisfying ending! Highly recommended!
review 2: I found the hoarding aspect of the storyline the most interesting because it's something I've never read before and it gives me an understanding to why people do it. There is a poignancy to the story but at the same time it got a bit much, like every bad
... moreshit that could possibly happen to this family happened - kind of unrealistic! I wasn't fond of the ending, it just wraps everything too neatly. But I suppose in life forgiveness can be cathartic and some families do find their way to each other in the end. less
