review 1: This is the third book in the Spellman series. I love each and every one of these books. The third continues in the tradition of the other two being a fun and quirky read. The only bad thing I have to say is that it reads so quickly and then there's a long wait until the next one. I like how the author has matured her characters and continually adds to their complexity as individuals and as they interact with each other. I couldn't praise this book higher and strongly recommend it to others.
review 2: Oh, Izzy Spellman, who, in this installment, is single, unemployed, squatting in a secret apartment, and undergoing court-ordered therapy. (For seriousness, why has no one made this into a movie or tv series?!) Actually, she's grappling with some very relatab... morele existential questions, like the terrifying prospect of what on earth she should do if and when she ever grows up. (I ask myself this quite regularly.) More wonderfully wacky family deceptions and witty banter. Totally digging this fun series. less
