review 1: Fans of Crichton’s Jurassic Park and Timeline, and BBC’s Primeval will enjoy this adventure that transports four people and a German Shepard back 65 million years into prehistoric times. A 1,000 mile journey with plenty of complications will have you biting your nails for them as they try and make it to their designation point in the two-month time window in order to return home or stay forever in the past. Lots of interesting prehistoric facts combined with a solid premise to deliver not only a believable, but heartfelt, and at times - heart-wrenching and bittersweet story. Definitely can see a movie in the making for this one!

... moresy adventure novel is great fun and this one falls into that category. What could be more trite than a sage professor, two unmarried, younger scientists (male and female of course) and a DOG (for heavens sake!) all being caught in an experiment gone awry and transported to the Cretaceous - oh there's a security guard too but he doesn't last long. All the inevitable things happen, and yet, a lot more that's downright surprising happens too. The interesting plot twists and the considerable effort made to recreate the Cretaceous era kept me entertained. If you're looking for some fun beach reading and like good SciFi do give this a try. less

A very fun exciting read. The dinos are handled really well and given life.

Enjoyable, some leaps in logic and physics terms, but understandable.
